I Want to Download a Program on my Checked Out Laptop and it Won't Let Me

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING HERE:

Because laptops need to be maintained, outside of an occasional minor web browser plug-in, admin access is required and can only be updated by our college District's ITS staff.   Some programs CANNOT be loaded due to licensing agreements, so plan to go to the lab that has it (if no lab has the desired software program, talk to your instructor).

If you need a program added for your class, return to the Audiovisual center on the highest floor of Building 100.  Then wait at least five business days for District ITS to add the program if they can.

Please remember to bring the following: 

  • Bring Chabot student ID on pick-up day – we will need your W#
  • Your checked out laptop (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP ANY FILES ON YOUR FLASH DRIVE OR DESIRED CLOUD)
  • Proof of registration for current semester
